Rushen Floral Art Club

About us:

Our club was established in 1970 at the suggestion of Miss Julia Clements, who remained our patron until her recent death. We meet every third Tuesday of each month with the exception of August, and we are host to four or five North West Area, National and International demonstrators each year. Our demonstration evenings are usually held at the Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin and are always open to visitors.

Club Activities include regular course of lessons for all abilities, we take part in church flower festivals and have held our own floral art exhibitions. We are involved in the Isle of Man Flower Clubs' Group gatherings and some of our members also belong to the Islands' active contemporary group 'Floreat'.

Club representatives have staged at many of The North West Area's festivals, they have also entered the National competitions and represented the island at the World Show in Glasgow in June 2002 and NAFAS at the Hampton Court Flower Show in 2007 where we gained a Gold Medal.
